Qantas Online Check-in ... print your own boarding pass!

Jump to last reply

Qantas have recently launched an Online Check-in service, where 24 hours before departure and from the comfort of your computer chair, you can check yourself in for the flight, decide on your seat allocation and then print out your own boarding pass. Oh my, the wonders of technology. Bit scary, almost.

Currently this seems to be offered to FF members only, but no doubt if successful will extend to all passengers. Imagine starting a trip without having to stand that agonising time queueing at the check-in counter – the bind moggles :-D

Here’s the link

I received an email from Qantas with an added incentive to use this ‘self’-service with a bonus of 500 FF points and the chance to win one of 150 Lenovo notebook computers if Online Check-in is utilized before 30Apr07.

I’m going for it – has anyone here used Online Check-in?

I can already envision the printer karking it just when it’s time to print out the boarding pass ... travel gods like to chuck a spanner occasionally.
