Navini

I am so glad I found this forum! My husband and I are going to Fiji in September and we couldn't decide on a resort. Thanks to all of your input, we've decided Navini is the place for us. To those of you that have stayed there, did you book directly through the resort?

Thank you!

OK. I finally found people who have stayed at Navini! I am interested in staying there in July 2006 with my husband and three kids ages 15, 12 and 9. Those of you who have been there let me know if I'm crazy. We LOVE to snorkel and putter around in non-motorized watercraft. Particularly hobie cats. What is the condition of Navini's watercraft, what are the daily morning "boat trips" to local villages or wherever about, and how are the accommodations? We don't care about luxury, but want to be comfortable. Is the place just too quiet for active teenagers (active, not unruly)? How good is the swim-in snorkeling and what is the evening entertainment like? I like the initimacy of the place and the lack of a pool or "kids club", but want to know if we will feel comfortable and find enough to do. Any thoughts?

I would tink you will love it. their sail boats and paddle boats are in great condition. The trips each day are either to a village, another resort or snorkelling on other reefs. The off the beach snorkelling and swimming is terrific as Navini is surrounded by its own protected reef. I would suggest the duple accomodation - it's very comfortable. Evening entertainment is very low-key.
We took our teenage some there and he loved it.

Hi,
Navini was one of my favorite spots - I was there as a travel agent so by myself, but the snorkeling was excellent - staff wonderful! The only problem with booking direct with the resort is that you cannot get a wholesale airfare which is usually less than published by about $200+ (this is from LAX in the US - not sure where you are located). I would be happy to send a quote to include transfers - they will meet you right at the airport. If so please send the dates & number of nights you want to spend at the resort. If you are already taken care of - enjoy! It is a great spot!

Hi,
We celebrated New Year in Navini in 2004 and we are going back this year. We loved it. The snorkelling off the beach is excellent (I took lots of pictures), the staff are really friendly (if you have any questions just email the resort and you'll get a reply straight away), and another thing we loved was that you don't actually lock your room! It was great.

Everyone, Thanks for your replies! We decided to book directly through the resort because they offered free transfers with our 7 night stay.

IPMsMom! We must be doing the same thing....looking for all the information we can find on Navini! I saw your post on another forum. I'll let you know how the trip goes in September.

PiperFiji, Thanks for the help. We are airline and we're going to try to non-rev over to Nadi. Scary, but we're going to hope and pray we make it!

PB and J, please let us know how it is when you get back! Have a great time!!!

Thanks again! We are so excited about this trip that we can barely think of anything else right now!

Just to make you feel good ...
My wife and I spent a few days at Navini in May and loved it. The rooms are very comfortable, the food is very tasty and made with the freshest of ingredients. The staff are wonderful, warm and friendly. The snorkelling is excellent with massive amounts of brilliant coral right off the beach. All the on water equipment was in excellent condition.
We can't wait to go back.
