Honeymoon June 2003

I am having a very difficult time deciding where to go on our honeymoon in mid-june 2003. I have heard it is not the best season in Tahiti. I would really appreciate some help. We love diving, turquoise water/white sand beach a must, and we are looking on the more upscale end. Thanks!

June - September are the "best" months to go. It will be a little more crowded and air fare is a little more, but you should have a great time. There are pictures and reviews on my site. We stayed at the more upscale places, except the Sauvage, which would be the perfect honeymoon experience. If you have question, send me an e-mail through the feedback on our site. www.tahiti.wunschl.com

Hi Melissa, You must go to Bora Bora for your honeymoon. We did in 2001 and had the best time! We stayed at Le Meridien. Anywhere in FP will be beautiful. We have been many places and Bora Bora was the most magical and gorgeous place ever!! Nothing compares! Let me know if you need anything!!

Thank you both for you advice. I am definetely leaning towards Bora Bora, although I am very concerned about the season. I live in Switzerland, so Tahiti is about 20 hrs travel time, so I would hate to go so far for bad weather!

I would have to agree. That is a long flight. We met a couple from Norway while we were at the Sauvage. If you are going for two weeks, I would do it. How long can it rain at one time? But if you are only going for a week, go to the Caribbean.

Melissa,<BR> Since Tahiti is in the Southern Hemishpere, the seasons are opposite, so june-sept/oct is their winter and thus the "dry" season. My husband and I leave for Tahiti on 10/02/02 and we will stay at Le Meridien on Bora Bora for 3 nites. I will post a report for you under this section and let you know how it went. I received an email from Vanessa and she had nothing but positive things to say about Bora Bora. Good luck and I'll report back to you in mid-Oct. when we return.
