Auckland is great!
A few months back I posted a message asking people what they thought of Auckland, as I was planning on moving back there after 10 years away. One person responded saying "zzzzzz". I've just got to say, I was a little worried but now that I've been back a few weeks, I think this place is fantastic and NZlanders should be proud it's their largest city.

Most cities are zzzzzzzz - this is a travel forum. You asked a question and got some answers and there is no reason to reply that na nee na nee na na " I like Auckland". Great for you and really it depends on where you were too.

Auckland's charms for the tourist are real IMO but not as pronounced as many other parts of New Zealand. However it strikes me as a pleasant and very liveable city. Let's just call it a nice compromise between traffic-clogged Sydney and provincial Dunedin -and I mean that as a compliment.

I am mortally wounded (lol) my two favorite NZ cities slain in one (and a bit)sentence(s).
On another note.
Let us not throw our toys out of the cot on here, as my mother used to say, someone could lose an eye and we all know how bad it would be to only have one eye.

ok just to state once and for all, my original message was purely a statement to say I think this city is great. As simple as that. No comparisons, no complaints, just Auckland is great! If you can't say that in a travel forum then there's a problem.
