Taxes on Hong Kong hotel room

While searching for hotel rates, I've noticed that some sites are saying that the quoted prices do not include hotel rates and taxes while others do include these charges. The ones that exclude the taxes are obviously better prices (initially) and advise that the rates and taxes will be charged by hotel when I get there. So I am wondering if anyone can advise what percentage these rates and taxes are and then I can work out if these sites are offering a better deal.

Many thanks. Mac123

3% room tax, though some include in the rate.

10% service charge. Just like when eating at many Hong Kong restaurants. It makes little sense, but unfortunately no pressure to get rid of it.

Many thanks rkkwan. I agree but I guess just about every country charges a tax of some sort.
