Wow! That hotel definitely wipes all visions one typically associates with a Best Western!
Looks very nice--and seems very reasonable.
Looking forward to first-hand reviews from fellow Fodorites.
Any idea how close it is to the main terminal?

Note that reservations can be made directly with the hotel through it's website or through the worldwide Best Western site. The AARP discount is available on the worldwide site. Looks like breakfast is included if you book on the local site, however it's not clear whether it is included when booking through the worldwide site. You can book the executive floor on the local site but not on the worldwide site. The hotel is 10 minutes away via shuttle - they will meet your flight if you provide details. All 5 reviews on TA are excellent. I am thinking of staying there in February.

i have found best westerns overseas, mostly in europe, can be very charming hotels....all are individually owned rather than a corporate situation...

>>>can be very charming hotels....<<<
Many thanks for the hotel tip, bob.
She sounds promising with the listing of 'massage' treatments, but can't help but wonder if she'll ever top one of my all-time cherished Asia business travel airport hotels, the forever memorable Amari Airport Hotel at dear ol' Don Mueang in tender Thailand. ('Back in the day', it was possible to 'choose your masseuse' at the 'After Flight Centre' on the 5th ('exec') floor. Never once received an actual massage, but always seemed to experience ~ 90-minutes of joy and tender times with gorgeous and gracious women.)
(And btw : one of my favourite Amari masseuses is now working at a certain 'riverside' property; small business travel world, indeed.)
Good up the good work all of you, do continue to book SQ (check out the latest and greatest singaporeair fares), and savour your airport lays - in the City of Angels.

The Best Western is on the west side of the airport, on the main road that runs along the western boundary. You probably could get there in 10 minutes from the airport, but I suspect it will take more like 15 to 20 minutes to get back to the airport from the motel.
There's at least half a dozen hotels around the airport now, and some of them are quite cheap. I'm going to have to spend a day visiting them sometime soon.
BTW, was talking to several hoteliers last night, and they all reported that high season advance bookings were looking good. So, those of you who were holding off expecting some cut down rates will have to start praying for a plague outbreak.

Agoda has this hotel for $57 / night, for a late October stay. They also have day rates.
