Krabi, Ao nang beach, Any low priced accomidations

I have found several web sites with hotels and resorts for the area, but almost all are out of my price range. Around Nov 1, the prices of everything doubled. I am looking for a simple bungalo with fan, prefer decent location, figure under 1000 baht would be okay. Ao Nang seems a high priced area out of my range. It seems like a beautifull area, just dont know if I can afford it. Any suggestions or different locations or affordable places you know, thanks jk

Don't panic, these guys have plenty under B 1,000, start from about B 500 and bookable, if you don't want Ao nang try the railey Village places, should be about B 800, anyway here's the link, you should get something no worries.

It's a long link , cut and paste it is easier, but take you straight to prices, click the little blue arrow above rates and it sorts everything from highest to lowest prices, in Thai baht of USD/Euros etc.

Thanks, I have this site. It just seems that everything is a lot more than I would expect. Of the 20 or so listed under 1000 baht, about half have incorrect prices listed on the main page. When you click on the resort and look under the new rates for Nov 1 on, the price is a lot more. And some of them are on Koh Lanta or other locations which I dont know about. I stayed on Koh samui about two years ago and 500 baht was an average bungalo price, I expected the same here. Just looking for someone who has been in the area and can say something about it from a moderate/limited budget veiw.
thanks jk

Ao Nang has developed over the past few years, it is now a busy resort with McD's etc. Not that easy to find quiet and cheap places, it's now much more mass tourism.
