India: Flying from Varanasi to New Delhi

Hello,

I am wondering how long this would take, the cost for a single and if there is an airline you would recommend?
Thanks
Liz

It can cost between about (US)$50 and $200, and takes an hour and a half.
I've flown on Spice, Jet and Air India. All were fine.

Kayak.com is a good spot to get this kind of information

I would avoid air india. they do not get good reviews and my son just had a horrendous experience with air India. I know any airline can have problems but i personally would fly another airline. Someone told me Indigo is very reliable

I would recommend www.makemytrip.com for some great deals. One way on Indigo (a budget airline in India) is just around U$ 40-45 equivalent to INR 2700/-.

I would stick with Jet Airways. They have a nice website, and the guys at the call center are really nice. We had booked flights with them all over India, and when the fares went down, they gave me a refund.

No Air India, please. I met a lady on my international flight, who visits India frequently. She told me the toilet flooded on her Air India flight, and the "waste" was sloshing all over the plane. Yuck.

Hi Liz,

The fares fluctuate and increases as day of flight comes closer most of the time. Suggest to book it as early as you can do else you will find yourself at loss. 1 Hour and 35 minutes is the exact time taken by Jet Airways flights for Delhi.

Happy travels !
Bella.

I would not fly VISTARA on this route as we had a dreadful experience with them. We had booked and paid for business class return tickets between Delhi and Varanisi about ten weeks in advance. Writtem on the tickets was the statement "Confirmed and Guaranteed". The day before we left for our holiday in India I noticed quite by chance that the flights had both been removed from their on line schedule (I had been checking for flight numbers to send to our son)

I emailed there head office and when no reply came through in several hours i made an international call to Delhi. I was told that the airline had cancelled both flights I asked how they had notified me and was told by text. I said that dezpie fact correct number was on the ticket details no such text had been received. They thought this might be because my number wS a UK one. Although they also had my correct email adress no message of cancellation had been sent' So in summary they had cancelled two flights, not told us and had kept over 400 pounds of my money. I obviously asked for a full refund and was told this would take 10 days to ennact.

To state the obvious I was furious and to add further insult to the sorry story i subsequently got a reply from someone else in ther customer services to my initial email which sail my tickets were confirmed and atached a copy. After a further exchange she responded confirming that contrary to her email the flights had indeed been cancelled by airline and their refund process initiated.

Happily we were able to rebook on jet airlines at similar time of day so our plans were not disrupted but you really do not want all this stress and hassle the day before you leave for holiday !
