Diving, culture & Natural beauty
Hello,
My Husband and I want to see as much of what Thailand has to offer without spending all our time moving from one location to another.
We like to dive and enjoy the beaches, but I love photography and want to see the amazing Natural beauty that is so unique to Thailand. I am also interested in seeing Temples and things that are culturally different from what I have seen in the western hemisphere.
Which area would be the best to concentrate on or are there 2 locations you would recommend that aren't too difficult to travel between?
Thanks to all of you who have input for us to consider.

For temples and culture, you can't beat Bangkok.
What time of the year are you traveling? That will make a difference as to the dive site recommended.
How much time do you have? If you have the time, adding in northern Thailand will give you a fuller picture of Thailand. Flights on Air Asia are cheap and convenient.

If it is between now and April I would suggest Chiang Mai in the North and then although a 2 hr flight is quite easy from Chiang mai to Phuket Airport non stop and from there by road north to Khao Lak area for great beaches amazing island trips and you can also visit the Khao Sok National Park, amazing scenery, that gives a good mix of culture / beaches / nature
