Calling all expats living in Singapore

Calling all expats living in Singapore
I know there must be a bunch of you out there, so I'm hoping you can help me with an unusual request. I'm an expat living in Indonesia, and I travel to Singapore often to purchase groceries to bring back to Indonesia.
I'm trying to locate a good butcher shop, preferably near Orchard Road. I realize most grocery stores have butcher shops, but they seem to be rather limited and don't offer some of the services I'm looking for such as custom cutting and grinding, vacuum packaging, etc.
I'm married to a carnivore and it would be a great help if I could locate such a place!
Also, I've heard about a market called Liberty that carries a wide variety of American goods - would love to hear from anyone familiar with this store and its exact location.
Many thanks!

Liberty Market, the American themed supermarket, is located at Plaza Singapura. Plaza Singapura is just beside Dhoby Ghaut MRT station.
Just do a search on Plaza Singapura and theres a map provided in it.
Hope this helps :]

I have never been to Liberty Market but have been MarketPlace in Tanglin Mall. You mostly see expats there rather than locals. It is huge compared to other supermarkets and has a good variety of US/UK goods. It is much better than Jasons, a popular but much smaller market frequented by expats.
As for a butchery, I have heard of Swiss Butchery and Peter's Butchery. I am not sure where they are located though.

The place you definitely want to go is Swiss Butchery on Hillcrest. It is about 10-15 min cab ride from Orchard, but well worth it. (Cabs are cheap here anyway.) Ask for Adrian, the manager. He will assist you with everything from custom cuts and packaging to recipes and cooking tips. THE best in town!
Jason's and MarketPlace at Tanglin Mall are both run by the same people....a company called Cold Storage. I shop at both every week, since I live in the area and they are convenient. They are easy places to run in and buy pre-packaged meat. You can get both Australian and US beef, but you pay a big premium for the US imports. They do not offer certain cuts and are not great on custom cutting, packaging etc.
Liberty Market has moved to Jurong, so it is no longer convenient to the Orchard area. Carrefours, a French chain store, occupies that space now. But Liberty was never the place to get great meat anyway. They are good if you want to special order packaged American goods such as specific brands of sodas, candy, cereal, etc.
Hope that helps!

Thank you all for your help! I was just at Plaza Singapura a few days ago looking for Liberty, but figured Carrfour had taken their place - they're still listed as being there on the Internet.
I've been to all of the grocery stores you've listed. I have not been to Swiss Butchery, but will definitely take a cab there on my next visit. It sounds like exactly what I'm looking for! Thank you Lindsey!

No worries leniram, last time I checked Fair Price/Liberty's web site it listed Plaza Singapura too. I wish it WAS still there, because I know where Plaza Singapura is! Thanks for your help.

Follow up:
I just returned from Singapore - I took a taxi from my hotel on Orchard Road to the Swiss Butchery. The taxi driver had a hard time finding it (even though he called ahead for directions), but once he did, he offered to wait while I shopped as there wasn't a taxi stand anywhere in the vicinity.
This place was great! I'm now in the process of working out a way to place orders in advance online so that I can just pick them up when I get to Singapore.
Thank you all for your help!
PS - Didn't find Liberty Market, maybe next time.
