BKK Airport to Novotel Siam Square

Hi!
Any suggestions on the cheapest way to get from the Bangkok airport to the Novotel Siam Square hotel? The hotel is willing to arrange a car for me, but I'm not sure if they're charging a fair rate at 900 baht. Thanks.

They're probably charging you a fair rate for that type of service, but taxis in Bangkok are really cheap and for the equivalent of nearly $22 U.S., you could probably spend several hours in a cab (which, happily, is much longer than it will take.) If you take a cab, be sure to negotiate the price first.

Take a cab, and have them use the meter. You're much better off than trying to negotiate a price when you don't know what a reasonable price is.

you asked for the CHEEPEST well the cheepest option is too cross street too train station get train going too main station (HUALAMPHONG) 10-15 baht. from there grab a local bus tha goes down Rama 1 or siam square. it's stright easy ride it's only 5 blocks away but with BKK trafic it may take about 10 20 minuts. bus 8-15baht.. so total is no more then .75 cents. yep kind of beats $20 and may take just as long.. the prob is. what time you arive and how much luggage you have.

there are many other option

shutle busses A! 100 baht, stops near world trade plaza you can take a 5 minut walk too Novatel..

a metered tazi will cost abot 250 baht too siam district.

900baht taxi.. NO WAY. unless they fly.

I just got back from Bangkok a few days ago and have been there many times. It should cost about 250 Baht to the Novatel...depending on the time. Are you arriving late at night? When I arrive late at night I always have the hotel send a car. I'm female and travel alone. So, I just go on and pay the money. I paid 1,000 baht this last trip, however I took a regular taxi from the hotel back to the airport, the next day, for 200 Baht...near Ploenchit Sky Train Station. I had an early morning flight down to Singapore...and after Singapore I went back up to Bangkok. If I were you, and you're arriving during the day time, I'd just take a taxi...250 Baht is only US$6.09. I could never travel that distance in my own country for that small amount. The other option is to go to one of the limo desks at the airport and use their service which is less than the hotel sending a car for you. I went from the airport to the Peninsula...across town...and on the other side of the river for 800 baht...it would have been half in a taxi though, but that day I just didn't feel like dealing with a taxi. As soon as you walk out of customs into the airport there are counters that say limo. Happy Travels!

Thank you all for your responses! I'm still mulling it over, but I'm leaning toward using the limo desk at the airport. However, should I change my mind - - I know what the going rates are via taxi and feel confident that I could negotiate effectively.
