anyone stay at Conrad Bangkok?

Because we have Hilton Points, we are planning to stay here for just a night in March. Can anyone comment on the hotel or location? I just know it's in the All Seasons Place area.

I keep reading about the Sheraton on the river in Bangkok but we're saving those hotel points for the Sheraton in Krabi. I'm wondering if it's better to use the points for Bangkok.

Thank you!

I have not stayed at the Conrad but have been in the lobby. It's a really beautiful hotel. It's located near the US Embassy in BKK. The skytrain is a long walk down Wittayu (sp) road, but the hotel may have a shuttle that takes you to the station (?). Some do.

All Seasons Place is a mall. It had a lot of empty places when I was there because it was just opening and many shops were "under construction" as they were getting ready to open. I don't recall any dept stores there. Maybe someone else can comment on that.

There used to be (maybe still is) a burger joint in All Seasons. The name has the word Garage in it. The burgers were pretty good, we thought. The owner is (was) a singer/actor from BKK named Poo. He used to sing at our favorite nightclub, Tawandang. But anyway, the burgers were tasty...
and the hotel is very nice! You should like it.

it's in Phloenchit district near phloenchit BTS station.. the expat community consideres the area one of best locations in the city. it's within in walking distence of sukunviet and siam shopping and entertainment districts. also short ride too lumpini park and silom district.

Its a city location but right in the center of things - very close to the Night Bazaar, to Central Chitlom which is an amazing dept store, to Gaysorn Plaza, close to the BTS - great bars and restaurabnts too!

I've been there a number of times. It's a good place to stay, though not directly connected to the BTS (as Hyatt, Intercontinental, Four Seasons, Novotel, Landmark, Sheraton Grande, Westin Grande Sukumvit do). But there's no problem since the cab fee is cheap. The door man can get you a cab whenever you need.

All Seasons may not be the place for shopping. But as people said above - the hotel is close/ in the center of many things. Take a cab and don't worry about the location.

IMO, I'll save the points for Krabi hotel. The farther south you go, I think the pricer the hotel deals are.
