I often hear "plane delays" due to weather; snow, fog, wind sheer..would this apply to Tornado warnings?
Tornado warnings -if i had been way into Dallas would plane be re-routed?

The Dallas airport is closed because of this, so either your plane wouldn't have left, or you'd be rerouted.
WOW, i turned on weather channel and had many answers to my questions...It did say some planes on way to Dallas were diverted to other airports...
"Thousands" stranded.....at airport.
Also 18 wheeler trailers being tossed around--up to 100 feet high and over tops of houses.
If it were not for my adult daughter illness, I would have been right in the middle....
A couple weeks ago (Monday, March 19), the Dallas airport was closed too, although there were no tornadoes in that case - just a chain of thunderstorms. That also did result in planes all over the place not taking off, and diversions for those planes in the air. Always be prepared for an overnight with stuff in your carry-on! Once rescheduled, I couldn't get out for almost 2 more days.
"DFW Airport spokesman David Magana said more than 110 planes were damaged by hail. It wasn't clear how many belonged to American Airlines, but American and American Eagle had pulled 101 planes out of service for hail-damage inspections."
