Delta at it again

Maybe people wouldn't want to take so much on the flights if they got competent baggage service.

I have often been on flights where it took almost an hour for the baggage to start coming to the carousel. And you get the excuse not enough staff or too many flights at one time.

There should be a rule that if the baggage does not start down the chute within 15 minutes of arrival at the gate then the passenger is reimbursed.

If this were done, more people would be willing to check their bags and we wouldn't have what we have.

I must say, this is actually a good thing. For a while after September 11th, the airlines enforced the two carry-on limit and everyone seemed to use common sense. Lately, however, I notice old habits are returning with passengers loaded down with huge bags, and usually more than two. Although, I'll be surprised if Delta strongly enforces this new policy.
The carry on rule on American was not enforced in February. We were one of the last ones on and they had to take my carry on bag and check it because there was no over head space left, I asked why not? Reply was to many people brought to much stuff. I aked why don't you enforce your carry on rule? Flight attendent said"Yeah, Right", and we were flying in 1st class.
