I thank all of the wonderful people on this site who guided and gave such priceless information allowing me to have the things and the knowledge needed for a first time solo traveler to Africa!

Your blog is very inspirational. What an incredible experience to spend time in the small communities assisting people with medical challanges, and most people will never be able to achieve the satisfaction of doing such important work in Africa. You certainly deserved to have a great time on Safari and I'm glad you were so fortunate with your wildlife sightings and experiences.

Your photos of the Lion kill and the Wildebeet Crossing are amazing and I also enjoyed your other photos in the villages. It looks like Kennedy still has great connections at the Nairobi Ntl. Park Safari Walk as I love the photo with you and (could that be Wendy) the Cheetah laying down.

I'm glad you had such a wonderful time in Kenya and Tanzania and I wonder how long it will be before you're off on your next adventure in Africa.

I do hope safari jeeps were not really going 40-50mph in the Mara, though (fear that they were)! Eeps, bad bad bad for the wildlife.

Such a great trip for you--and for those whom you helped so much. Try Rwanda next time.

I'm only part way through your blog, but I'm finding it truly moving already. I'm so glad to see some of the photos from your adventures, but even more than that, I'm touched by what you were able to do for some of the people you met.

Maxine did you pre book your bush dinner or were you able to book it while there.

I'm going solo as well and would love to do a bush dinner...but not just with me and a bush!! lolol

Hi KathBC...my bush dinner? Not sure of what dinner your referring to. Sorry..

I did have a lovely lunch in Nairobi at the Karen Blixen Cottage. ( on my birthday ). The Jakaronda trees were in full bloom. They have the most beautiful purple blooms!

The dinners at the camps are impressive. The gueats eat all together or in small groups. As a single you will always feel welcomed. It's prettty remarkable how they can prepare and serve these dishes in the middle of nowhere!

You will have the time of your life!!!!
