roof top dining

Just curious to know if you can have dinner atop the Mena House if you are not a guest there.?? Then take in the Light Show before or after depending on reservation time. Heard the commentary was cheesy so I looked on YouTube and pretty much saw the whole thing. Still being there will be a different story. dap1206

You want to climb up on the roof of the Mena House and have dinner? You know there is no restaurant on top of the Mena House, right?

You might need a ladder to get up there. Good luck!

The only questions I like to call "dumb questions" are the ones I don't know the answer to. I hate it when someone asks me one of those. LOL

Even those, along with all the others are welcome though, and you may just have to take a little ribbing at times.

dap1206 - what I think you might have been referring to is the roof top dining at Barry's (restaurant) where you can see the Sound and Light Show - sort of - pretty well.
That place is OK (IMHO) for a beer while the show goes on, but my one experience there was that the food was mediocre and the service was horrible - and I was supposedly there with a really good friend of the owner - so if they couldn't serve us correctly, I would hate to think what service for the average customer might be like.
But it is on the roof and you can hear and see the Sound and Light fairly well.
FYI - if anyone cares, it is in the village near the Sphinx on top of AA Stables. I think AA Stables might be easier for the taxi's to find.... in any case AA is a landmark to look for.
