Is this an advertisement, or what?

Does this board get moderated ever?

I think you're being a little overly suspicious (not that I haven't been guilty of that myself). This doesn't read like an advertisement to me. The name of the store isn't even mentioned. Anyway, I think it's good info particularly for those who have baggage delays or simply forgot something.

A. I don't think its an ad.

B. Even if it was, so what -- its good advice and may allow some travelers to pick up stuff they forgot or avoid carrying heavy safari equipment.

I would have loved such a store to exist during my February 2006 Tanzania safari after my luggage was delayed.

My first two days on safari were in wool pants, a long sleeve shirt and dress shoes. I would have gladly stopped in to buy some sandals or boots, safari pants or shorts and a couple shirts. Luckily my luggage later showed up and was delivered by the airline all the way to Tarangire Treetops but had it not it would have been an awful experience.

If this is an advertisement, it's a poor one. How can you advertise and not mention the name of the store?

Looking at Coordinator's posts, it's clear that he works for an operator, but all of his posts have been general advice about safaris - how good the pizza is at the Impala Hotel, status of the migration, probability of A/C in safari vehicles, useful phrases, info on airport transfers, etc... Coordinator has contributed in a positive way to the forum.

If you're going to accuse somebody of something, I suggest you do a bit of study first and see what sort of contribution they're making to the forum before you jump to conclusions.

Yeah, i dont mind.......i would never know of this store or information otherwise.....i would personally never rent cellphones for my safari, but, i may be interested in clothes and other sundry items that i may have forgotten to pack......

And...sounds from the post....you may be able to buy my favourite mosquito repellent "peaceful sleep"....yeah, i mentioned the brand name....wonder how many violations to the code right now....

Ngorongoro Conservation Authority has informed us (all tour operators) that there will be change of entry fees for foreign nationals from the current $30 to $50 from Jan 1,2007,but TATO(Tour operators assoc.)is pressing them to postpone it until July 1,we are waiting for the outcome.
Peterman should learn how adverts look like, travellers are blind, any piece of useful info helps somebody, somewhere someday.

Yes, Coordinator - they're finally getting around to putting the increased (long discussed) into effect as January 1, 2007. Thanks for the reminder.
