Meno-a-Kwena, anyone?
I read a lot of negative comments about Meno-a-Kwena last year on this forum (I seem to remember a reference to 'smelly old polecats' if that rings a bell with anyone, I think the thread got deleted), but has anyone been there recently to give an up-to-date review? Thanks

Ted,
If I am correct it used to be Temba's(an authority on Botswana here) favourite spot in Bots but unfortunately he isn't around anymore to help.
Maybe contact them directly to find out what's happening there.

thanks skimmer,
I can get info from them or an agent directly but was worried about the negative comments I've seen about them here and wondered if anyone had been recently - obviously not, judging from lack of response!

travellingted,
I too have read the negative reports about Meno a Kwena.
Please don't be put off by them. I was there for two nights
last November, and will be there for two nights this coming
November. I loved it. It's old style and none the worse
for that. I liked going back to bucket showers, and little
camp beds. The food was good and the atmosphere relaxed.
I took my own guide with me, but you can use one of the camp
guides. We went out into the National Park for the whole
day and were provided with a delicious packed lunch. I used
it as a wind down from my safari, and it is an easy drive
from Maun.
I hope this gives you some confidence.

Thanks Jan, I've read your trip reports (Panhandle trip very interesting) and value your opinion, since you seem to go for the kind of non-fussy accommodation I like. So I may well give it a try.
No more comments anyone?

HariS, haven't you anything better to do than interfere with a genuine question (which has nothing to do with 'ex-Temba')? I don't often post here but I read enough to see that you have serious superiority issues.
