First trip to Morocco
My husband and I are planning our first trip to Morocco. We are thinking to fly from JFK to Casablanca with the Moroccan airlines and from Marrakesh to Paris with easy Jet. We would welcome any suggestions and advices regarding the flights. Are they reliable? We heard not good things about the Moroccan airlines,we heard many people lost their luggage and the delays...Could someone tell us his experience? Easy Jet is a cheap option but the problem is their luggage weight restrictions!!?
We will travel From Casablanca to Rabat,Chefchaouen,Volubilis,Meknes,Fes,Mid Atlas,Erfoud,Sahara Desert,Todra,Dades,Ouarzazate,High Atlas,Marrakesh and we'll make some side trips to Ouzoud waterfalls and Essaouira. Is 2 weeks enough to cover and explore all those places? Which city worth more days,Fes or Marrakesh?
Thank you!
Andrea

Essaouira is magical!!! Our family just did a two week self drive this past December and had a fabulous time.Marrakesh and Essaouira were our favs.
We are from the US but flew Easy Jet to Marrakesh from Gatwick and Royal Air Maroc back to Gatwick as our kids live in the UK. We actually liked Royal Air Maroc better because Easy Jet is just too anal about luggage/weight;you have to pay for everything whether you eat or drink, etc.
We stayed at some nice riads during our travels but would highly recommend the IBIS hotel chain in Morocco as they are very reasonable;beautiful grounds,alcohol/bar on premises, great breakfasts and are not like the IBIS hotel chain in the rest of Europe.(Some are actually overlooking the ocean!)The one in Meknes and at El Jadida were very nice.
When are you going?

I think you have too much for two weeks - have you laid it out day-by-day including travel time? I would vote for Fes over Marrakesh as a bit less touristy and with a much better (and bigger) medina.
I flew TAP (the Portuguese airline) from Lisbon to Casa, and I did have a little trouble finding my bag - it was on an Alitalia carousel! I flew Easyjet from Marrakesh to Paris. I think it took off about an hour late, but was otherwise a typical Easyjet flight. BTW, the last time I looked at Easyjet, for London-Lisbon, by the time I added in all the fees TAP was cheaper.

We flew Royal Air Maroc from Barcelona to Marakkech and Casablanca back to Barcelona and had no problems. The flight to Marakkech was delayed about 45 min. (but that happens all the time). Looking at everything it does seem like a lot for two weeks. I agree that you just need to lay it out day by day and see what you can fit in. It is hard to say which city deserves more. We did 3 nights in Marakkech with no daytrips and thought that was perfect but we only spent two nights in Fez which was not quite enough. I would recommend 3 nights (or two full days for both) - at a minimum.

Royal air Maroc is getting worse & worse and the service is getting unfortunately poorer.
There are other low cost airline companies that you may try such as :
Jet4you
Ryanair
The places you will be visiting in Morocco are all good.
You better off plan a combination of imperial cities, the Kasbahs, the mountains and the dunes.

just back from Morocco last month. See my trip report (still working on it)
All airlines are bad and lose your luggage.
You are trying to do too much in 2 wks. That being said, we could have dropped a day from both Fes and Marrakech - the Medinahs get to be a bit much after a while.
