As you drive along Main Street toward downtown Burlington, it's easy to see why this three-college city is often called one of the most livable small cities in the United States. To the north, the eclectic enclave of Winooski, a newly refurbished ex New England mill town, houses its own cadre of interesting bars, cafés, shops, and eateries.
