Orlando International Premium Outlets
Just a short drive from Universal Orlando, the city's largest outlet mall is a prime destination for international shoppers, who can find shoes, clothing, cosmetics, electronics, and household goods at a fraction of their home-country prices. The massive complex at the north tip of International Drive includes hot brands such as Armani, 7 for All Mankind, Carter's, Janie and Jack, Boss, Coach, Kate Spade, and Calvin Klein, along with Brooks Brothers, Saks OFF 5th, and Disney. Searching for bargains works up an appetite, and there are plenty of places to eat here, too, either in the bright food court or in one of several sit-down restaurants.
Orlando Vineland Premium Outlets
This outlet capitalizes on its proximity to Disney (it's at the confluence of Interstate 4, State Road 535, and International Drive). Although it's easier to see from the highway than to enter (and parking is tedious and scarce), some smart shoppers have lunch on International Drive and take the I-Ride Trolley right to the front entrance (it runs every 15 minutes). The center's design makes this almost an open-air market, so walking can be pleasant on a nice day. You'll find Bottega Veneta, Burberry, Calvin Klein, Prada, Adidas, Tory Burch, Tommy Hilfiger, and Salvatore Ferragamo, among more than 160 stores.
Ornamentum
A contemporary jewelry store owned by couple Stefan Freidemann and Laura Lapachin (who met in a metalsmithing class), Ornamentum sells fanciful jewelry made by fine artists whose works appear in museums around the world.

There is outdoor seating on a spacious back patio and a small Italian grocery selling cured meats, cheeses, and other specialty food items, as well as books, kitchen tools, and coffee. Bring the family, because you can often find a few water buffalo grazing out back. Oro Bianco Italian Creamery now has outposts in Blanco, Dripping Springs, and Fredericksburg.
Ortega's Weaving Shop
This shop in the center of town sells Rio Grande- and Chimayó-style textiles made by the family whose Spanish ancestors brought the craft to New Mexico in the 1600s. The Galeria Ortega, next door, sells traditional and contemporary arts and crafts in New Mexican and Native American styles.
Orvis Flagship Store
The lodgelike Orvis store carries the company's latest clothing, fly-fishing gear, and pet supplies—there's even a trout pond. At this required shopping destination for many visitors—the Orvis name is pure Manchester—there are demonstrations of how fly rods are constructed and tested. You can attend fly-fishing school across the street.
Oscar de la Renta
Come here for the ladylike but bold runway designs of this upper-crust favorite. Skirts swing, ruffles billow, embroidery brightens up tweed, and even a tennis dress looks like something you could go dancing in.
Otte
This stylish mini chain has outposts around the city, but the Upper East Side location has the biggest selection of curated women's clothing from on-trend designers such as Rachel Comey and Band of Outsiders, as well as its own line. If you want that nonchalant-chic look, like an oversize velvet jacket thrown over skinny jeans, this is your place.
Otto
Otto's Market
After a succeessful career working for Whole Foods Market, Otto Leuschel decided to open an old-style grocery store in the tiny center of Germantown, 10 miles south of Hudson. Despite its small size, Otto's has an amazing selection of products ranging from grocery staples like Tide and Oreos to more exotic fare like British condiments and European jams. There's an excellent selection of international and local cheeses as well as other great Hudson Valley products. There's also a full deli in the back and two café tables in the front. Leuschel recently opened a variety store across the street that sells everything from cosmetics to hammers.

The unique selection might even make a new comics appreciator out of you.
Ovation Hollywood
If you're on the hunt for unique boutiques, look elsewhere. However, if you prefer the biggest retail chains America has to offer, Ovation Hollywood is a great spot for a shopping spree. Beauty and sports stores, and the official Dodgers Clubhouse filled with team apparel, are in the mix. Sadly, the original courtyard that pays tribute to the city's film legacy is no longer there, replaced by a more modern space, but if you head to the north-facing balconies, you will find a picture-perfect view of the Hollywood sign. Heads up that this place is a huge tourist magnet.
