Fodor's Expert Review Cervecería Cervantes

$ Barrio de las Letras Spanish

Cervecería Cervantes is an improbably down-to-earth neighborhood bar—the type where you throw your olive pits and napkins right onto the floor—among the glut of underwhelming, tourist-oriented eateries in the area. Most patrons come for the ice-cold cañas (half pints), but if you're peckish, there's a fine menu of Spanish standbys including pulpo a la gallega (octopus with potatoes, olive oil, and paprika), empanada (tuna-stuffed pastry), stuffed piquillo peppers, and more.
