2 Best Hotels in Luxor and the Nile Valley, Egypt

Background Illustration for Hotels

Remember that rates are less expensive in summer—late April to the end of September—though Luxor has less dramatic variations than Aswan since tourism is strong year-round.

Almost all hotels include breakfast in their rates, and some offer meal plans. Most hotels arrange transportation from airport to hotel if requested.

If you choose to stay at a place that doesn't have a pool, be aware that many hotels open their pools to non-guests for a small fee (around £E50). In Luxor, the Sheraton is on a peninsula extending into the Nile, and the Hilton has a peaceful Nile-side garden and pool.

Jolie Ville Hotel & Spa

$$$ | Kings Island, Luxor, Egypt

Set on its own island linked to Luxor by a bridge, Jolie Ville is a beautiful place to disconnect and recharge after a long day out, and it's a good choice for families, too. Kids will love having their own dedicated water park and playground, and parents will love how much space there is for the kids to run around.

  • Perfect Nile views from the riverside infinity pool
