Taxis waiting at the cruise port, Puerta Maya.  The guys who rent their taxis seem to stick to the official rates, which are posted here and at the beaches...I walked away from this area and got a taxi on the street...

The much anticipated “green pearls,” the spring peas from the Ebro Delta, available only a few weeks a year and commanding high prices. There are other similar peas in Galicia and other regions   When you see these on a menu do not hesitate.   These were in a light sauce of the vegetable called “glacial ficoide” which I’d not seen before.    With pistachio crumble.    The ultimate in seasonal product-driven food, this was heavenly. I took a half order.

I later mourned the fact that I did not order the suckling pig Cantonesa.  My obsession with trying this dish would prove to be a very costly mistake a few days later.

Dinner, with water and three half orders plus two comped courses was 73 euro.   Very reasonable for one of the city’s best eateries recently awarded its second Michelin star.
