Hi ira,
We stayed at Hostellerie de Bretonniere for three nights in May 2005. The price was €74 per night, opting out of the breakfast. there was a cafe and bakery 100 yards up the road.
The section we were in reminded me of a motel as it was set up in a row with a long verandah in front(see the first photo with Sandra sitting outside our room).
The location was great - just outside the walls of Beaune and the ring road, about a five minute walk to town centre. I would say that you probably wouldn't want to drive and park in Beaune.
It was a little tired and the panelling in the room was dark and the ceilings low. That first impression soon passed as we really liked parking in front of our room, sitting outside with a bottle of Montrachet and enjoying the flowers. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom large and very functional. The room was a very good size.
The price left us more to spend on the extensive wine list at Ma Cuisine.
Would we stay there again? - yes.

Beautiful pictures! Thank you so much. I noted you captured a shot of one of my fantasies.
A beautiful, turreted “chateau” set smack-dab in the middle of the vineyards. Oh my…what a life I dream about! Vines and goats and learn to make cheese…sigh.
Thank you.

Thank you for your kind comments. I note that some of the photos seem to have degraded in uploading. They don't appear that way in the album and I don't seem to be able to replace them.
Anselm - Isn't food part of the scenery. I can recommend some interesting restaurants when and if you decide to go.
Suzie - doesn't that sound lovely. For now travelling will have to suffice.
