Frankie.....you said.........
"Ike, no offense"
Why did you even take time to post then. You go your way and I'll go mine. I like to travel with friends. Ever done that. You try to take the romance out of it. It won't work.

Elizabeth Pointe Lodge in Amelia Island, Fl. We stayed in the Ocean House in the Breezes suite; would like to stay in the Tradewinds suite above it for a better view next time. Check out the website for pictures. Also loved the Hamanassett B & B in Chester county, Pennsylvania.

This is a great thread, but tough to answer. We've been so many incredibly romantic places, so I will just limit it to ones that were truly weekends (or long weekends).
I have to also say the Canadian Rockies, Lake Louise area. We stayed at the Post Hotel and I can't think of a better place. If you are planning a trip to the area and have the money to stay there. . . WOW. Check out their website. It's like staying in a Swiss Chalet resort.

12/15/00 Pigeon Forge, TN Hubby and I rented a Chalet called "Above the Clouds" for a week. We woke up to beautiful sunrises, soaked in the hot tub that overlooked the mountains, (top-of-the-mountain seclusion) and sat by the fireplace. We literally were "Above the Clouds" physically and emo. ;-)

New York City - wandered around the city seeing the usual tourist sites. Had an unbelievable wander through the Met and found an unexpected dinner in Soho.
New York is a great place to loose yourself.
