You and 3 buddies are all turning 40 next year. You don't see each other often as 2 live in the US, 1 in Canada and 1 in the UK. You want to organize a 4-5 day celebration of turning 40, what do you do?? Suggestions please?

Vegas baby! Where else? The perfect place to celebrate and have a little fun. And remember- what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas. What more could you ask for?

Depending on the month, why not consider Octoberfest in Munich. Lots of guy stuff to do: eat meat, drink beer and you can wear leiderhosen (sp)! It's the greatest, assuming crowds don't bother you.

If you like the safari idea, you might check out Friendly Planet Travel - I haven't used them but they seem to offer some of the best prices I've seen in a while -www.friendlyplanet.com

Four or Five days would be an awfully short time for a safari. Traveling to and from South Africa would take up most of that time.

MarkandLeslie, sounds like a job for Vegas.

My hubby just turned 40 and we went out there for the week. He was pretty cool with turning 40, but I can imagine it would also be a good place if one (or all!) of you guys are freaking out a little about it.

Bottom line: Vegas is THE place if you want a vacation where you can go and literally not think about anything else but haivng fun, one minute to the next.

Happy Birthday!

How about some nice trip to Alaska. You can kayak, camp, fish.

I bet the wives would be MUCH happier with the boys in Alaska rather than Vegas. (Having just returned from Vegas I can say it's gross. But I'm not their target market!)

Good luck.

You like golf so you may want to try the Myrtle Beach, SC area where there are plenty of golf courses and if you do research they maybe car racing in the local area.
