X-mas in Phoenix

I am meeting my children for the week of Christmas in Phoenix. They are a 10 year old son and a 14 year old daughter. Does anyone know any out of the way places that they would enjoy?

Go into the "subject search" on Phoenix and I think you will find plenty of ideas. You can go inside BOB, Bank One Ballpark, by parking on the street, northside of the park and go in through the TGIFriday's restaurant...can eat or just view. Drive to Fountain Hills, east of north Scottsdale, Rawhide in north Scottsdale and downtown for the Science and Technology Museum and IMAX...let them go on a horseback ride in the desert or all of you go on a desert jeep ride...much to do. Also, on the 29th is the Fiesta Bowl Parade and it is always very good.

I'd like to add, if you're around
Fountain Hills, check out Out of Africa wildlife park. It's one of my favorite places - you see the staff interacting with the animals (mainly lions, tigers, and similar). They give demonstrations throughout the day that are entertaining and informative - interesting for adults and children.

So much for promises, Franqo. I knew you couldn't be trusted.

Zoo Lights is also going on at the Phoenix Zoo until 1/6, nightly from 6-10 pm, well worth seeing.
