Womens Spa Vacation - suggestion

I am looking for suggestions for a girls spa weekend location. We are in our upper 30's and live in Minnesota. We would like to find a "spa" were we could go for like a 2-3 day pampering weekend - away from the husbands and kids! We are hoping to find somewhere where we can stay overnight as well. Not a "fitness" resort - but massages, facials, etc. Any suggestions?

That is a really good suggestion!! But we might need to bring our husbands along to visit the wine country - they'd "wine" if we didn't let them come!

If you want to stick closes to home, Grand View Lodge in Brainerd, MN is great! http://www.grandviewlodge.com/ They have a variety of lodging to meet your needs and they have an Aveda spa onsite. Perfect for relaxation and getting away! One thing to note: there isn't much else around (or not that we've ever found) if you do decide to do anything other than relax.

Have fun

Lake Austin Spa and Resort here in Austin, Texas! Superb...great weather and on a lake; a bit pricey, but excellent service and surroundings.

Canoe Bay is in Wisconsin. They don't have a spa but they can provide a massage in your room and they have a fitness center. It's the other aspects of the resort that seems great to me.

One of my wife's favorites is near Knoxville, TN and they do have a fine spa. Blackberry Farm. It's rated the # 1 small resort in America and the food, rooms and activites are outstanding.

One of the top 10 in the U. S. is in
Wisconsin also and has all you could ask for.

If it were me and I was taking friends I would go to Palmetto Bluff Resort just outside Savannah, GA. You can reach the resort in 30 minutes from the a/p in Savannah and take a day trip to Savannha to eat, drink and shop.

Have a nice trip.

Langdon Hall is a very nice place for you ladies. It's one hour from Toronto. Might be too much of a drive. I would fly to Savannah and go to Palmetto Bluff Resort.
