wi motel on small lake

I would like a motel on a Wi lake, not in crowded area[such as door county] where one can go to get away. Rest, read book or just look at lake. Something for 1 day or 1 week. Nice if restaurant within walking distance.

There are probably thousands of places that would fit the bill. Finding them on the web could be difficult.
Let me do a little digging and see what I could come up with.
Wisconsin has over 3.000 lakes more than Minnesota.
North Western Wisconsin would be your best bet.

Agreed. It would help to narrow this down a bit. Is any area of the state more convenient for you to get to; are you flying in or driving and from where? Do you want a motel, lodge, cabin, B&B?

I live in the southern part[middle section] and will be driving by myself if kids or grandkids are not available, so would like to drive only 100 to 150 miles in one day. I was thinking motel so I can park car at door and not walk to far.

What about Green Lake? Green Lake Center (operated by the Baptist Church) has a wide variety of lodging options.
Green lake has many other resorts--including the Heidel House--which is lovely!
