Who has the best Crab Cakes in Maryland?

While on a trip to the Cayman Islands, a fellow traveler told me the name of a restaurant in Maryland who serves the best crab cakes -- but I can't remember the name!
She said it was off of I-97 between Baltimore and Annapolis. Can anyone help me? We like Phillip's in Annapolis, but undersand there are better crab cakes out there. Thanks for your help!

Robert Morris Inn, Oxford, MD. Westerners have a difficult time getting crab cakes exactly right; Anne Arundel County crab cakes are second rate.

I had some great crabcakes(had to eat there twice because of them) at The Blue Heron in Chestertown.

Do a search of this site. This has been discussed before. I will add to the list Annie's at Kent Narrows (not between Blt and Anna). My guess is it might have been Fred's in Parole (far western 'burbs of Anna) which is now closed.

Topping the previous post for you.

Kristen: The Captain's Galley in Crisfield USED to have the best crab cakes in MD.

Alas, it was torn down last winter to make room for more condos.

I'll try to get some pix up, but believe me--you wouldn't recognize Crisfield now....

PamSF:

Used to get 3 dozen "keepers" a day in season from my parents' dock on the Chester River just X the bridge to the W: best crab imperial and crab cakes ever.

There are several palces that have good crabs but the place you are probably refering to is Hellas. They are on Veterans Hwy in Millersville.

There are also several places to choose from such as:

1. Roys Kiwk Korner in Glen Burnie
2. Koffmans in Odenton
3. Legal Seafood
4. Romanos in Glen Burnie
5. Seaside
