Whitewater rafting
My sister and I are thinking of a half-day or full-day rafting trip around July 1. I've been on several trips before, up to class IV (though for this trip I'd prefer mostly III), my sister somewhat less. We'll be all over the state, and have a lot of flexibility. Recommendations? What's the most scenic river?

The Umpqua River is a different kind of raft trip, but really beautiful. Check out rafting companies in Bend as they offer a number of options.
The rivers are running pretty high due to all the rain, you should have some great options and the weather will be hot by July. Enjoy.

We have been on quite a few rafting trips with Sun Country Tours out of Bend. Their Big Eddy trip is a nice halfday one if you are limited on time. Definitely go in the afternoon when it is warmer. There is an area where you can get out of the rafts and swim if you want. We have been using Sun Country for about 10 years now and have never had a bad experience at all. We stay at Sunriver Resort, just south of Bend, and catch their bus there, but you can also catch it in Bend.
