Which year Entertainment Book?
Hello everyone,
The advice seems to be to purchase an Entertainment Book for Hawaii, but . . . we'll be there Dec 28, 2006 through Jan 7, 2007 (Oahu and Kauai).
So, my question is, should I get a 2006 or 2007 book. I mostly want to use it on Oahu because of all the historical and cultural stuff. When do the coupons for things like the Polynesian Cultural Center expire - Novemember or December? (Not actually being in Hawaii right now it's kind of hard to look at a PCC coupon)
Thanks.
Branton

Almost all of the coupons including PCC expire on November 1.
PCC will only accept the coupon at the time you go there (not when you make reservations).
So the 2007 book is for you.
Reservations at PCC:

Entertainment Book:

Lots to do on Oahu:

For Kauai:

Thank-you, Dusty56438.
That is great information and I especially appreciate the links you provided.
I do have one more question. It looks the PCC site is for ticket purchses (rather than reservations).
Do you know if it is possible to purchase the ticket through that site and then present PCC with the coupon (for a refund?) when we show up? Or, am I missing a way to make just a reservation only (including seat locations?) from the site and then use the coupon from the Entertainment Book when we get there?
Thanks again.

If you look on the menu of the above site, you will see 'contact us'. I suggest you do so. When I made our reservations, I phoned and they said they DID want to know about the coupon at the time the reservation was made.

As OSB suggests, it may be better to call them & inform them about the coupon when you talk to them.
If you have a choice of which day to go, you can ask them which day has the best seats available for 'Horizons' & pick that day to go.

Hello Dusty56438,
Thanks for the affirmation of OSB's good advice. I also looked up your Oahu link and I appreciate the exhaustive information on Oahu and the PCC in particular. I'm sure many have gained from it also.
In following your posted PCC schedule, do you recommend purchasing a particular PCC package? Going a la carte?
Thanks,
Branton

Get either the $50 package (no dinner) which includes 'Horizons', the seven villages, a canoe pageant, canoe rides & IMAX or the $80 Ali'i Luau package.
The Ali'i Luau package includes everything above plus the 5pm dinner show. It also includes a lei greeting and upgraded seats for 'Horizons'.
