Which Vegas show to check out?
We are going to be in Vegas on a Wed. and Thurs. nights May 7&8. I have never been there before, but my husband has been a lot. I wanted to go to "O" - but of course, they are not "open" for "O" on Wed. and Thurs. So we need a show option. I heard Mystere is good or Blue Men?
Open to suggestions. I just don't want to see a cheesy lounge show, magic act or topless thing. Please send recommendations.
Thanks!

Both VERY different, but both excellent.
I would probably lean towards Mystere simply because the theater was built for the show, you were interested "O" which is by the same tour company (so i assume you like that type of thing), and you can see Blue Man Group in many different cities throughout the country (so save Blue Man Group for another trip to a city in which the perform)

Since you wanted to go to "O" I would say Mystere is a good choice. We went a few years ago and loved it. I had to drag my husband as he thought it would be some sort of "circus act" and wasn't interested. He still talks about it today.

Just a comment regarding the Blue Man Group.... I, personally, hated it. It was just too weird for me. My husband, however, thought it was very "different." In fact, he later took our two older kids (9 and 10 at the time) who thought it was hilarious. In my opinion, the show is geared more towards preteens, but I know many adults would disagree with me.

I have seen both "O" and 'Mystere" and they are both excellent. If you can't see "O", go for "Mystere". It is great. For a different kind of show, "Jubilee" is a beautiful Las Vegas type show with showgirls and beautiful costumes, dance routines and seeing these two shows would certainly give you a variety.

If "O" is dark you definitely should head to "Mystere." I saw Blue Man Group last year and never felt so ripped off by a piece of supposed entertainment.
One other option: It hasn't opened yet, and they're getting megabucks for tickets, but Celine Dion's new show (with artistic direction by many of the people behind "O" and "Mystere") will be opening soon. Perhaps you want to be one of the first to see it.

We have tickets to see Celine Dion May 18th and are really looking forward to it. We paid about $100 apiece for them, albeit not the best seats in the house, but I trust that all the seats in this new theater should be OK. It is produced by the same guy who did the Cirque shows, which I really liked. We saw "O" and "Mystere". Both are awesome. I have heard nothing but rave reviews about Danny Gans too.

Okay, I'm going to be the one review of Danny Gans that isn't good. We paid over $100 a piece to see him on New Year's Eve and we didn't laugh once. A lot of shows on New Year's include champagne or a souvenir but his didn't. We really felt ripped off as well as unamused.
