Where would you go mid-December?

My husband and I will celbrate our 2nd anniversary on December 15th. We are trying to plan a four night trip, but can't seem to come up with any great ideas of where to go. We live in Florida and only have a few days, so we can't spend forever traveling.

So if you had to plan a trip mid December, where would you go? Just looking for some ideas!! Thanks!

How about a quick trip down to the Keys? Or maybe a quick trip to New York?

Washingon,DC, is very nice in December. The Smithsonian Museums are open(and free). There are lots of interesting sites there.

Key West, if you want to stay within the state. Maybe New Orleans or San Antonio outside of the state. You don't say whether you are looking for a warm destination or not, but I have always thought it would be wonderful to visit New York during the Chiristmas season. Another option, especially if you want the some sun, would be Cancun.I think it would be a great place to celebrate an anniversary.

Las Vegas is fun with great bargain prices before the holidays start.

Grand Cayman or Cayman Brac, just a hop, skip and a jump away from FL.

New Orleans is wonderful in December. It's close to Florida, too. All of the major Fla. cities are less than 1.5 hours by air on Southwest.

Definetly Key West! I highly recommend Simonton Court or The Weatherstation Inn,both very romantic. Blue Heaven is a must for dinner & Croissants de France for the best breakfast anywhere.

New Orleans gets my vote. Close flight from Florida, great food and music. Book yourself a room in the French Quarter and have fun!

New York City - great flights so you don't lose a lot of time getting there and 4 days is enough time to see a lot. It is reall nice around the holidays. We were there last year.

We are going to Disney in mid December and we too live in Florida.

I'd probably take a short Bahamas cruise. Cruises are dirt cheap that time of year.

I echo NYC! My husband took me there two years ago right before Christmas. NYC over the holidays is great! We stayed at the Waldorf (got a great internet deal) and had dinner at Windows on the World. It was really magical walking down Fifth Avenue, with a light snow falling. I've been bugging my husband to go back every year!
