Where to stay NYC & DC with teens

So everyone has convinced me to not try and squeeze in too much for an east coast trip this summer. We are traveling with 3 teens (13, 15, 16). Some of our favorite vacations have been condo style as eating out gets old and pricey. Any ideas of this type of lodging in DC & NYC?

We did this with teens. Try the Kimberley in NY with teens- good size apartments in apartment hotel- very well located and well priced. Embassy Suites in DC (above the metro station).

There are several Embassy Suites in DC; the one that's above a Metro station ( and also part of a mall, very handy) is Chevy Chase, which is literally above the Friendship Heights station. The ES in Alexandria is across the street from a Metro stop. They don't have full kitchens, just fridge and microwave, but they do have those great huge free breakfast buffets.

I believe the Affinia chain of hotels in NYC has suite style rooms. I believe it's Affinia.com.

In DC Embassy Suites is a good choice as well as the Residence Inn, which has suite and apartment style lodging.

Hope this helps!

You may also want to think about renting a furnished apartment in DC - check out bedandbreakfastdc.com for some options.

In NYC the Beacon Hotel has kitchens, as well as 1 and 2 bedroom suites. It is in a great area! Margo
