Where to stay near Bridgeport, Connecticut?
I'm taking a business trip to Bridgeport in late July. I want to book through hotels.com because I'm saving up points for free hotels elsewhere. The options I'm getting are for Fairfield, Norwalk, Milford and Stratford. I'll be busy during the day, but which of these would be most pleasant for evening dining and strolling around?

Hmmm. I have stayed in a couple of the chain hotels in Milford, and they are pretty average. They are not in strolling areas, but there are lots of food choices at all price levels. I think downtown Milford is pleasant, but I have only driven through after dark.

South Norwalk is a pretty good spot for strolling, evening etc.

Not sure if there are hotels right there, but if you stay on RT 7 in Norwalk, you will be very close to So Norwalk. Maritime Center is nice too.
