Where to stay at Gore Mtn, Adirondacks?

Anybody ever stayed anyplace good at Gore Mtn in New York state (Adirondacks)? I've skied there and really liked it, but don't know where to stay.

Check out The Sagamore for a real treat for accomodations ... although quite pricey. Other than that, I think you will find smaller motor inns, B&Bs, and condos in the area, probably listed via links from Gore Mountains website.

Check out www.friendslake.com for a great inn with an exceptional breakfast and dinner menu. It's 20 minutes from Gore Mountain.

Another great spot is Garnet Hill Lodge which is about 10 miles from Gore and also serves a great meal. www.garnet-hill.com

The gore mountain website has info on all kinds of accommodations. We've stayed in a couple of different cottage type rentals. In each case they were provately owned and on the property of the owner's home. They've worked out quite well for us. These cottages are not fancy, but well-equiped, clean and quiet. We are a family of 4 so they easily accommodated us.

The Copperfield Inn in North Creek is supposed to be very nice. I haven't stayed there, but friends have who were pleased. They have a 4 star restaurant.

I agree with the Copperfield suggestion for ambience and food (which also has a great little "pub room" for more casual dining.) Garnet Hills has great X country skiing, if interested. Sign up for a shuttle to take you back to the head of all the trails after you ski down from a higher elevation. the food at garnet Hills is also great and the rooms are probably cheaper than Copperfield's. I stayed at a rental home...sorry I don't have the info...it was a friend of a friend's, but perhaps you can get info on rentals.
