Where to stay around San Fransisco
Wondering about where to stay when visiting San Fransisco, Wine Country, and the nearby areas? Looking for something in the $200 range and nice...don't know if that exists in that price range out there. lol Thinking along the lines of the Hilton Brands such as, Garden Inn, Doubletree, Hampton Inn, although not necessarily those specifically. If that's makes sense...? We need two double beds in a basic room. Any suggestions for particular hotels or just an area to search in would be great. Was thinking about the Berkeley Marina area as it seems convenient to both San Fran and Sonoma, but we are not familiar with traffic issues and not sure if that would be a hassle to get in and out of the city. Anyway, would really appreciate any help offered. Any questions, for more detail, just ask!
Thanks!

Check out vacation rentals by owner.. www.vrbo.com for the city you want. Cheaper than a hotel, usually better than Air B&B. Sonoma area is a day trip from SF. But better to plan to spend at least one night there. In the SF area, I like staying in Marriott Residence Inn's because you get a living room and a bedroom and a mini kitchen. Cuts food costs.
