Where to go after NYE for a few days?

We want to plan a few days away just after New Years. We want warm weather. So we can lay at the pool. But, have fun actitivites and good restaurants. Where would you suggest. We are planning this with a few couples, and we definitely want it so that people can go in their in own direction each day but meet up at night.

So far we are thinking Vegas. But, I'd like some other nicer options.

What types of various activites would you like to be around? Also, do you have any maximum travel distances? If so, what are they.

I have plenty of ideas, I'm just not sure from your post what exactly you would like.

I don't think Las Vegas has lay-at-the-pool weather in January.

Yes, we were in LV in January and it was def too cold to lay by the pool. Hotel prices go way down after january 1. You might want to consider south beach.

Relax. Have good food. Entertainment. I think a pool or beach would be good......
