WHERE TO GO ?????
We are 2 sisters, single, late 20's. We want to take a vacation mid to late Oct. The problem where to go. We want to go to a nice resort on the ocean or by the water. We like if theres other things to do other than lying around the pool, beach. I know this is hard to answer but does anyone have any suggestions. Our favorite vacations over the last couple years have been to Hawaii and Costa Rica if that helps you.Any suggestions would be gladly accepted. Thanks a lot.

Hello Mo - have you considered Cancun?
I really enjoyed the outstanding hotel rooms, friendly locals, great food, and the Mayan ruins. It is generally cheap to get there and I consider it a "one size fits all" kind of place,
since there is something there for everyone.

Thanks for all your suggestions everyone. I know the question was a little general. We actually were considering somewhere in Mexico and Los Cabos did come up. Has anyone been to Cozumel? Of these where would you go? Stay? Thanks again.

I have been to Cozumel on day diving trips and love the place! I like Cozumel so much because it more of a Mexican beach town than Acapulco or Cancun. Even though there are a couple of large resorts, it still has that wonderful not over commericalized feeling.

Diann its funny you should mention Punta Cana because my sister just read an article about the place and it was in the back of her mind. Of the 2 places, Cozumel and DR which would you choose? Which place has more to do? As I mentioned before we like to lounge but we also like there to be other things to do, including shopping. I haven't mentioned Cancun because it just sounds as though its too built up. Thanks for yours or anyone elses input.
