A couple of follow up comments and additions - we enjoyed an incredible meal at The Langham with Michael Voltaggio (Top Chef) in the kitchen. Pie and Burger on Lake and California is one of my favorite burger joints (and great pie). The Cinema mentioned in Miller's Alley is the Gold Class Cinema and well worth the extra money for really comfy seats and diet coke brought to your chair with the push of a button. Some of my personal fav restaurants in Pasadena - Akbar(Indian), Cafe Bizou (as mentioned by many), Arroyo Chophouse (steaks), and our kids love Louisa's (Italian) and Melting Pot. I've also had fun at Vertical (Wine Bar). Based on the earlier comments, I am going to have to try Cheval Blanc.

Has anyone tried Noir Food & Wine on Mentor? We are going in a couple of weeks and would be interested in comments. By the way, Cafe Bizou has two dollar corkage!!

Why bother?

We passed by Akbar more than once (it's between the Courtyard where we stayed and the main drag in Old Town, and it was always packed. Next time!

I have just added two more reviews to my website and they are both Pasadena restaurants. We were very disappointed with Quadrupel Brasserie, but Dish Bistro & Bar made for a great evening out. The reviews with pictures can be found by clicking on link below.

You can also add any comments to the restaurant or California Dreaming articles now and/or subscribe to an RSS feed that will tell you when those areas of my website are updated. I'm still trying to figure out how to do an RSS feed for the Europe stuff. Anyway, it's free, so if you're in the Pasadena area, here are two more reviews for you to peruse.

We just went to Gale's (Northern Italian) last week for the first time and had a really good meal. Click link to my website (with photos) if you want to know more. Just click on Gale's review once in the website.

When you open the above link, go to Tom's "Dining Out" and click on link, and that has the restaurants I have reviewed.

Thank you, and apologies, we've decided to stay away from Pasadena, and I've posted a GTG asking for suggestion in other areas.
