Where should we go?
My best friend and I are planning a long weekend together in April. She is in Tacoma. I am in NE PA. We are in our late 20s, athletic, looking for fun and relaxation and lots of memories. Any suggestions?

to answer your question, yes i am serious and i am not clueless. i have been to many countries and half of the states and will be moving to korea in july.
my reason for posting the question was not to get smart remarks but ideas that i might not think of. the list i have compiled has a lot of standard destinations. while these are all exciting in their own right, i was hoping someone would offer a gem of a location.

OK, since you live in almost opposite parts of the US and this is only an extended weekend trip I suggest that instead of both of you spending money on airfare, only one of you do the traveling.
In either the Tocoma area or the NE PA area you can find a great weekend spot which you have never experienced. You will save lots of air fare costs (split the cost) which you can spend on your time together.
The point is, people are suggesting things that cost lots of money for both of you. You can have a great time together in either of the areas where you live.

New York City, hands down. I just went with some girlfriends and there is a neverending list of great things to do and you will definitely make memories that you'll recount together the rest of your lives. Hands down.
