A New Yorker is either from Staten Island, Brooklyn, the Bronx, Queens, Manhattan, Long Island or "upstate".

You would think we wouldn't have to be subjected to such mindless bs. But I guess when you have some UPPISH person from UPSTATE? NY who for no other reason I can see than to claim some sort of UPWARD mobility or UPPERCLASS status by posting this. Do you want to UPSET someone? All it does to me is make me want to UPCHUCK. I guess you have to have some sort of strange UPBRINGING to be UPSET about whether or not you are UPSTATE. By the way I'm from Loon Lake, NY which is 80 miles from Canada; i guess I'm not UPSTATE! You know what, I don't really give a damn so quite simply UP yours.

Wow, sensitive people! I'm from ROCHESTER, which I used to call upstate (it IS north of NY), until some NYC people told me I was too far away to be considered upstate. Anyway, lighten up about it!!

Dear My,
I agree. There will always be someone or someplace more UPper than anothers so only those with lots of anxiety about their place in the one UPmanship of being more UPPer than the next would get so UPset over this.
Would being from LOON Lake have anything to do with your post?
Or are the Loons the most Upper birds in the state?
Sincerely yours,
Ms Caroline Upyourstoo

I would have to say Westchester can not be considered Upstate. Anything North of the County should be regarded as so.

I'm pretty sure that Loon Lake is in the Adirondacks, but since that's more than 50 miles out of the Big Apple, you've not been there. Just stay in your cocoon, we're fine without you.

What a bunch of angry, pathetic jerks responding to this. What? Life is not turning out the way you had hoped? Upstate seems to me anything after Orange County/Ulster. Is that so hard for people to answer? Jerks.
