Where can I "sell" gift certificate for hotel stays

Hello. Can anyone recommend a good site to try to sell a certificate for hotel stays? I've looked on eBay, and there doesn't seem to be much similar, so I am afraid that I wouldn't get enough views. Same with Craigslist. Are there travel sites that would be good for this? My wife won a raffle for 2 nights at the Four Seasons in Washinton DC, so I think they are somewhat valuable. Thanks for any suggestions

The few times I've won anything, I just give it to charity, same with several of my SW "Rapid Rewards".

Makes a great tax write-off while doing something altruistic. Maybe you local public television has a "Viewers Auction"?

Exactly... your local not for profit hospital, Boys and Girls CLub, Rotary etc... all probably have auctions where they can turn your uneeded nights into a nice package that will sell for nice dollars and bring help to their funding needs.

Often that kind of thing isn't transferable anyway, so you should check that first.

I've heard of people selling such things on ebay and Craigslist.

My husband sold some kind of golf certificate from MArriott on Ebay. There was quite a bit of interest!

On EBAY's home page there is a column down the left side listing some of the categories. One category is Gift Certificates. If you click on it you can slect from two types of categories- state or type (your type would probably be "other") If you click on District of Columbia you can see what they have. Lots of them are for meals, entertainment and stuff like that.
You can also go to the Travel Category. If you click on that you can click on hotels and you can place your gift certificates there.

Good luck.

Stewie, being in the hotel business for so many years, I've given out hundreds of hotel gift certificates.

Basically, no one will car who's name is on the gift certificate and since your wife won the gift certificate, her name isn't on it either.

Can you sell it to someone you know who will be going to DC?

I'm going in February, what do you want for it?
