Well obviously Elberko has never been to Ocean City or they wouldn't ask what state it's in! Anyway, it's your typical boarwalk seen. Beach on 1 side, beach shops, hotels, bars, novelty stores, restaurants on the other. There's also a carnival at one end. There's lots of beach activities and places to eat. There's also the mall and movies. Or you can drive around a little into Delaware or over to Asateague Island which is a wild horse reserve/beach where there is camping. It's very nice and the beach water is pretty decent (last time I was there anyway). Make sure you get some steamed blue crabs! YUM! Have a great time!

travelcat summed it up pretty well but dont forget lots of miniature golf, boating and fishing, especially on the bay side of OC (OC is a long strip of land surrounded by the ocean on one side and a bay on the other. In nearby Delaware there are several outlet malls, no different from other outlet malls, but since they're in Delaware, there's no tax on most things (something we highly taxed NYers appreciate). Also another fun side trip is to take the Lewes Ferry from Lewes, DE to Cape May, NJ (you can take your car or go as a pedestrian) and spend a day there. You could even venture up to Ocean City, NJ from there. Having been to both Ocean Cities, I vote for MD. There are many beach towns, one right after another in MD & DE. most have a small bourdwalk and cute shops and restaurants. they are all fun to explore for a diversion when you're off the beach.

Thank you all! Yes, I was referring to Ocean City, MD...I live in NJ and surely don't want to go to Ocean City, NJ.....Anyways, I just went on oceancity.com, pretty good info! except we are looking for decent hotel on the oceanfront, but no right on the boardwalk..maybe at one end of it, so at night we can just start at one end and walk to the other....does anyone recommend any?
