Clean
good bed
drapes that close
available outlets
a bedcover that is freshly laundered
shower head above my head
tv with at least 40 channels
bright enough bulbs to read by
minimal crack under the door
plenty of hot water
24hr room service
big fluffy towels
That's the minimum IMHO

LOL, picturing Fred, achieving absolute blackness in his crack-free room by closing his drapes, then turning on his nice bright reading light and ordering room service at 4 AM, freshly showered and wrapped in a big fluffy towel and sitting on his nice clean bedspread while also clicking through his 40 channels.
I guess this means you don't want to come camping with me?

I spent 160 nights on the road last year, and that's my list of what I want in a room. I got it complete about 25 times and 80-90% about another 50. 4 Seasons, The Ritz and some of the W's get them all right. Hyatt, Hilton and Marriott get most of it right. I am in the top tier of several hotel programs, and with the help of their premier support desks, a clean comforter in never a problem.
