An affectionate partner...
A bottle or two of something nice...
A locked door...

Dim the lights & guess the rest ( Love is the Drug - Roxy Music ).

Go, Fred! The only way to travel! I love the Four Seasons and the Ritz....my personal enjoyments....24 hour room service and a well-stocked mini-bar.

I'm with the "shower curtain that doesn't cling to you" person.

I think that this will explain why Americans have such a hard time in Europe.

Given that more and more hotels have reached the $200/night range, even in suburban areas, I don't think Fred's expectations are unreasonable at all.

A shower that even during AM "rush hour" delivers decent temperature and volume of hot water.

A coffee maker AND a restaurant that opens at 6AM.
A comfortable chair for reading. I hate reading in bed unless it's one of those Heavenly Beds with all the extra pillows.

Besides the obvious---a coffee maker. I want my coffee the minute I wake up. I don't want to have to wait for room service or go down to a restaurant just to get it.
