What would you do with only one day in Ft Lauderdale?
We arrive Port Everglades at 8am and leave FLL early evening. I've searched the site here at Fodors and it seems like most recommend the Jungle Queen Riverboat sightseeing cruise. Does anyone have info on that? In addition, I would like to take an airboat ride thru the Florida Everglades. And would also like to learn more about Ft Lauderdale's Indian history. Any suggestions? Thank you

Check out Los Olas Blvd
along the river in Downtown Ft. Lauderdale. Many great restaurants and shopping. Great nightlife!
Actually the Jungle Queen trip is pretty neat. I did it as a kid and as an adult entertaining visitors who came to visit. I always come back with the same lesson learned- Its good to be rich!

When my husband and I visited Florida last June we went on the Jungle Queen. It is about 3 hours long. It is full of interesting info on the homes and who owns them, how they became rich. I liked it very much I highly recommend it for the time you have in FLL. I don't think you have time for the Everglades as I recall that is further away.(??) Also as mentioned you can take the water taxi for $5.00. You can get off and on as often as you like. It goes to restaurants, Los Olas Blvd. etc. Easy to kill a day there. No problem. Have fun.
