In Denver for work conference - will be there Friday and Sat with free time. I have no car. what should i see? Anything good I can walk to. I am middle age, love to walk. I have never been there.

Also, need a good restruant for Friday and Sat - suggestions.

I am staying at the Marriott in Denver

I suggest that you check out Larimer Square - not too far to walk from the Marriott about 6 blocks - or just walk to the 16th street mall and take the bus to Larimer. Suggest you try Rioja for dinner - or Ocean Prime on the corner of Larimer and 15th Street. There are at least 10 good restaurants in the two blocks that is Larimer Square.

The Denver Art Museum is interesting (both the building and the art) and an easy walk from the Marriott. http://www.denverartmuseum.org/home

If the capitol is open, take a tour, or at least visit it. The inside is quite interesting, and outside there is a step with a marker showing you are exactly one mile above sea level.

The Art Museum and library are next to each other and have very interesting architecture. Close by is the historical museum, and MOlly Brown house is also walkable (but yawn).
Zoo and museum are next to each other, but probably more a bus ride away.
Going to be hot those two days, BTW!
